What did you cook or eat today? (January 2026)

where you brown some ground beef and maybe some pork, and then start popping can lids, lol. The latter is certainly quicker for a weeknight dinner.
My mom made a version of that, but most of the canned stuff was home-canned, and she made it a lot thinner and we always called it “chili soup.”
 
Nine servings of chicken gumbo and rice.

Leftovers from our freezer. We have no bread even.
So a bit of beef stew.
A bit of black eyed peas and pork soup
A bit of lentil something, maybe pork.
Leftover bits of breads from Christmas
