Sourdough, tomato sauce (homemade), ham, garlic, oregano, cheese and capers (added once done)

Tonight is baked eggs Florentine with half a baked sweet potato. Unusual for me as I am not very keen on sweet potato. But I sort of fancied it with the spinach and egg dish.

Replying to my own post. Big mistake. The sweet potato was way too sweet. I think I managed to forget how sweet they are. I had to buy a bag of them so now have more to deal with.

I’m another one who doesn’t really care for them as they are, so I’ve found other ways to use them…they work well in breads and it can help with that earthy sweetness they have.

I think I’ve made crackers with them at some point. Probably could work them into some pasta/noodle dough.

Me 3. I don't like yams, cooked carrots (unless in a soup or stew), sweet squashes, etc. Much too sweet. My DH likes sweet potato fries.

Use them in a thai red curry, mixed with normal potatoes & tomatoes....
It's about the ony way I like them, but yours maybe sweeter than mine

Open-faced sloppy joes, macaroni salad, and sour-cream-and-onion potato chips/crisps, and a dill pickle. Sorta, kinda 4th of July-ish.

I wasn't even close to 4th of July-ish. Spicy spaghetti sauce with fettuccine. Shared with Ozzie since Pippi ate her 5 oz. can of Dollar General chunk chicken and her 3 oz. can of Science Diet followed by a slice of cheese and small bowl of milk. She's out.
