What did you cook or eat today (March 2021)

Chickpeas are cooking... I’ve made them Roman-style, i.e. with few anchovy fillets melted in and some rosemary. Dunno yet if I’ll make pasta with them, however with a part of them I’ve made chickpea balls sesame seeds coated, then fried

I made a lighter korma curry (recipe by the hairy bikers in their diet books)

And skinny lemon cupcakes with lemon syrup ( also by the bikers)

Wow! It was so delicious. I'm going to cook from their diet books for a while as I can stand to lose some pounds and this makes it easy.

The books I used are the Hairy Dieters series.

Worked on a chicken and leek risotto. It took me over 60 minutes, but it was very tasty! Thank you TheChefGoingHomeToday and Burt Blank for the inspiration and tips.
Kept the (cheat veg) stock warm...
I tried to flip a bowl for the nice form but floppedthe carrot deco is not as pretty as I wished but I love the colour. Kid loved it. Me too. I gave her the meat part...

I had put my beautiful cutting board to pose and to hide the chocs and vitamins etc

A leek, Edamer cheese, cream, egg, butter tooped buckwheat flour base pie was really good too! It is gone.

I really like how light it feels after eating it. And the taste is very nice. Might have fried the leek prior, but fresh as this was actually good too. Cottage cheese a tablespoon only was left to be used, might add more next time. Kid loved the base in particular too.

What makes me content is that with all of you at the forum here, my joy of cooking is back.

For tea tonight I had beef stew with dumplings.

Very nice, but my wife doesn't like me calling her 'dumplings' for some reason.

Today's meal was egg salad sandwiches.

These included hard boiled eggs, Anaheim pepper, onion and mayonnaise.

Memory sparked mate. When I was 14 yrs my two brothers and I worked on farms to raise 50% of the money to import a kit form twin engine Trocart from America. Dad put the other 50%. Time fly's and so did we.

Son got here yesterday and said he finished early, motor possibly seized.? Two stroke so not too expensive?

That's two days in a row using the barbecue. Ribs sometime this coming week, I think.

I did ribs yesterday, 2 kg entree for 4 of us, wee kids asked what they were, son says you won't like them. They don't like sharing my ribs.

Ouch! Without seeing it mate, if you can free the piston and the bottom end is okay it's a re bore. Is it a class 1 group kart ?
