Wow, we just used to let the dog clean it off and back in the cabinet... 😅

Nope, a puff adder this time. Fight was over within a minute or 2

Not sure why I suddenly have those snakes. Not had a major issue for the last 5 years. Fluke chance I suppose (I hope)
Hmm, I feel for Sherlock having these encounters. I'd go snake hunting... I've got a Taurus Judge for that. 3" cylinder and 3" barrel that can fire .410 shotgun rounds. It'll *waste* a snake.

I had Claypot Dried Chilli Frog for lunch. My wife had Sambal Seafood (top right) and we shared some braised pig trotters (left).

I don't eat frog that often. I like it, but I think I prefer the French bistro way of doing it. Here's quite a meaty leg:

Also, there's a lotta little bones (this is two frogs-worth) so if you want to get the most out of it you have to get your hands dirty:

I haven't had frog in over 20 years, but I do remember liking I, also it did weirdly taste like chicken.

I haven't had them since moving back to Georgia. It's weird but they were so much cheaper in Nevada. Here it's like $5 for 2 or 3 in a package.
