What did you cook or eat today (October 2020)?

That is a great idea.

Coincidentally I rescued from home-made cranberry sauce from the freezer yesterday with a view to making something with cheese & puff pastry for the Recipe Challenge. Now it will look like I've copied medtran49!

Go for it! At first I thought the ghost pepper would be over powering, but it was perfect!

So you didn't follow a recipe and improvised? Very unusual for you! And it worked. You should write it up as a proper recipe...
No, I followed a recipe. The only improvisation was adding half a tin of black beans that I needed to use up.

I was actually very good with leftovers yesterday. I used those beans and then I used up some rice to make the rice pudding we had for afters.

Go ahead. More the merrier. I haven't been following the entries at all, was waiting to see if I felt like getting the dough made.

That’s what I experimented today, chocolate pudding cardamom seeds-flavoured with a pinch of black pepper

I have used soy milk instead of whole milk

I am happy with it, its spicy twist just fits well with the sweetness of chocolate.. I’m going to make it again

I've developed an extension of the idea - involving sausagemeat as well. Whether I'll get round to making it I'm not sure. I still haven't made the Halloween puff pastry.

not sure if I have added these or not. I know I added our meal out at the weekend, but not so certain about food eaten at home.

More rhubarb crumble, just for breakfast this time... the rest of the rhubarb has been frozen but hubby needs a serious talking to on portion sizes! There should have been enough rhubarb for 10 -12 portions. I don't think we'll get more than 6 ! It's a good thing we've had all this rain and that the veg plot was literally underwater. Rhubarb loves water and all it has done is grow and grow and I could easily harvest another washing up bowl of rhubarb come the weekend and not take more than half of what is there.

And our "normal" Saturday night meal (normal since hubby took over cooking duties with my bad shoulder ). Sweet potato chips, a fried runny egg, loads of peas (I love them) and some nuggets. I add a tablespoon or so of Heinz majo to the fries.
My wife loves rhubarb. I absolutely hate it.

We had more of the chorizo-corn soup from last night. I'd made a big pot, so I still had enough to freeze for a meal later on, but then MrsT offered it to the neighbor.

I was fine with that, I can always make more, but I had to laugh, because as I was putting it in a container, she was complaining that I was giving away the soup! Um...I didn't give away anything, that was you!
