What did you cook or eat today? (October 2025)

I've never seen it for beef. Not in my area.
Interesting to hear these things done different ways.
It's very much a "cut" for the local population for stew. With bones and it's a bit of everything.
I've bought several different cuts for my staff* (short rib, neck, shoulder). They are happy with it, but prefer the mixed cut.

*I got a small company, but even if I wouldn't, I would have staff as it is expected. As soon as you earn a little, you hire someone. I suppose the best way to descibe it is "you gotta share the wealth" :)
If you don't hire anyone, it is considered very selfish...

My sister was with the US Department of State and worked abroad in some impoverished countries. She had a hired driver (also security in some countries) and a houseman (which she didn't really need). But she knew that hiring local could help change someone(s) lives. Sometimes these people lived a distance from their families and they only got to see their families occasionally. It is a really good thing to give people jobs.

Oh yes!. I like spicy tuna rolls (ahi tuna--seared or raw in a sriracha and kewpie mayonnaise, sushi rice, cucumber, green onion). Blanched scallop with rice and veggies is yummy. Or cooked crab (or surimi) in spicy mayonnaise with some rice, veggies, and tobiko (flying fish roe). Toasted sesame seeds or furikake make a nice addition. Smoked salmon with cream cheese and veggies is a good one, too.

Cucumber, avocado, and green onion are my go to veggies.
Some nice ideas there I fully intend to borrow 😆
