What did you cook or eat today (September 2019)?

We were supposed to have conch fritters and slaw, but a water pipe was broken in our neighborhood and we didn't have water from sometime before 2 in the afternoon for several hours, so we decided to get Greek takeout. I had moussaka and Craig got pastitio, baklava for dessert. It was a relatively new restaurant, as well as new to us. Food was okay, nothing special.

Do you make baklava? It looks nice when I've seen it made on cooking shows.

Your butter chicken looks perfection. And another great photo...

Do you make your own Naan bread?

No, I bought this nan from a store near me. But it's definitely on my list to learn since I got into baking this year.

Curries are my favorite food, so I am glad it looks good :)

I'm enjoying a few hours in the kitchen after being away for a few days. Currently I'm munching on a Waldorf salad (using up apples, grapes and cooked chicken) whilst watching over a big pan of bubbling chicken stock and a small pan of poaching smoked haddock for tonight's fish cakes.

Finny haddock? I used to love that when my dear old mum made it. I wonder if I would now?

Waldorfs are impossible to obtain here.
