What kind of music do you like?

I've noticed that Finnish music doesn't exactly ring a bell here :roflmao: but I keep trying...Here is a real classic: Piirpauke and a modified "Konevitsan kirkonkellot" (a traditional folk song) from the 70's with a hilarious video (a Kalevala; national epic, themed 50's film) on the background. If this isn't hypnotic prog rock, what is?

Hemulen you are right the song has that same feeling! You're right about the North African feel too, Hossam Ramzy was a very popular Egyptian percussionist. He played with Peter Gabriel, with Robert Plant and Jimmy Page to name a few, but his own songs are very beautiful.

Bollywood is fun at times. I listen to this piece every now and then. In a musical sense it is boring but I like the groove and the humorous video. 119 000 000 views can't lie :roflmao: .

I have been a perpetual fan of Pink Floyd, mostly in the Roger Waters camp after the split. However, both Roger and David mostly ignore the early akbums in their live shows, so to have Nick Mason put a band together and tour the pre Dark Side stuff is brilliant.

For those who don't know Nick Mason's Saucerful of Secrets, points for recognising who the guitarist and singer is.

When I first got together with my spouse (wife) I had her 5 year old almost 24/7.
He'd ride in the back seat of our truck while headed across the Calif deserts heading to our boating adventure that the wife would join us a few days later.

When I'd enter the Coachella Valley I'd turn to a Palms Springs radio station that played WW2 era music.
The stuff my parents had on in the house when I was a kid.
It sounded good, it worked for the 30 minutes or so I could receive the signal.

"Make it stop!, AHhhhhh,,, make it stop!" her 5 year old would say.
