Reminder that there are four volunteer staff, spread across time zones around the world, and sometimes, some of us are out for one reason or another (vacation, health, etc), so we’re not always in a position to jump right on things as quickly as you’d like. It’s just a fact of life.
I'd hats off but we've not an emoji for that.

Found one!

I finally have the time to go to a Korean store. I bought
1 container of miso paste, thinking of making miso soup with my garden green onions
1 small package of King Oysters, maybe grill them tomorrow
1 small container of ssamjang, for the Korean lunch tomorrow
1 medium jar of Kim Chi, I decided what the heck, I might as well treat my family to a proper kim chi
2 pickle cucumbers, I’m still going to try the quick kim chi recipe
1/2 small daikon root, might do something with it
1 bunch of small bananas, I haven’t seen this type of banana for a while
1 box of organic yellow tomatoes, thinking of making avocado, tomato, shrimp timbale for Christmas day with this
The total is less than $27, much cheaper than going out to eat at a Korean restaurant for 3 people.

I congratulate you on being utterly disciplined and parsimonious in the Korean store. :bravo::bravo::bravo:
I'd have come out, $200 lighter, with all sorts of stuff that I'd probably only ever use once and would then linger in the fridge for a year!

Morning Glory Mentioned a tripe recipe:
There is a famous Spanish tripe dish: Callos a la Madrileña. Its very slow cooked tripe with garlic and paprika.

So I was off to Morelo's Market this morning for a few things...

Also saw these, fresh garbonzo beans, first time to see those. Kind of pricey...
