What's For Dessert?

DH is on a "soft solid foods" diet for three weeks.
Smoothies it is!

This was made with frozen Strawberries.
I bought three different frozen fruits for this purpose.
I'm making them liquid enough and he can simply drink one without a straw, NO STRAWS FOR YOU!!

I have to say that I've been thinking about smoothies for lunch for a change.

This was a total FAIL!!
I should kept to mt tried&true recipe, but I thought I'd try something different.
Crust: far too hard, like rock, tasteless!
Meyer Lemon Curd for the filling, spot on
I used Meringue Powder instead of real Egg Whites, because I didn't have any Cream of Tartar, that was awful!!!!!
Lesson learned, but I feel terrible.
I had promised DH Lemon Meringue Pie and I let him down.
I'll try it again soon and do it the right way this time.

... and I was just a t the supermarket this morning, do you think I remembered to buy Cream of Tartar?
NO!
I stuck to my list, which was very short... the crowds everywhere were horrendous!
Always like that before a storm and I had forgotten all about that, I just like to shop on Sundays before the churches let out...

I do the same. Get there around 9:30'ish and it's a breeze to get done.
