No. I intend to shallow fry in butter (maybe with garlic) and prepare a parsley sauce (I happen to have some fresh parsley). The tails are a bit thin for battering. I shall order some cod loin next week which is thicker.

Floured and seasoned for frying in butter (no garlic).

With potatoes and a few peas.

And parsley sauce.

Today's pot-roasted pheasant with apples, cider, onions, turnips - this is after browning the pheasant but prior to the pot roasting - a little cream is added to the reduced sauce later.

Wow...that looks delicious. It's a shame your vegan son can't enjoy any of it with you.

Have you posted a recipe for this? was it oven fried or deep fried? Add some shaved coconut to it and my wife would be all over it!

Thank you. Well, he has now left home so I can cook anything I like. My vegetarian daughter has also moved out. Not only that but my son has decided to be vegetarian instead of vegan as its cheaper and easier and he is on a tight budget!
