    Is making your own pasta worth the effort?

    I've been given a pasta maker for Christmas. It's an interesting looking gadget, and looks like it could be a lot of fun to make your own pasta. However, can anyone tell me if it's worth all of the effort, because it does seem to take a while to roll it all out to a certain thinness etc...
