Caveman steak with chargrilled potato & garlic mash

- 1kg tomahawk steak
- 2 garlic head
- 1 large potato
- 1 tbsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp sea salt
- Crush black peppers in mortar and pestle
- Add salt to the mix and crush together
- Drizzle little oil over the steak and rub it with salt and pepper (you may skip the seasoning, if you don't like the smoky & burnt flavor from the peppers)
- Let it rest for 15 minutes
- Prepare the grill, preferably with non-chemical hardwood. Do not use briquettes!
- Roasting the potato and the garlic the wood fire and charcoals
- Once the wood is completely burnt, place the steak directly on the charcoals
- Flip the steak constantly to make sure it's evenly cooked
- Grill until it's medium-rare, medium (duration depends on the size of the steak). If possible, check the inner temperature (try not to exceed 48°C /118°C)
- Rest the steak for 10-15 minutes and in the meantime, peel and mash the potatoes and the garlic
- Season them with salt and enjoy
