Mission accomplished. No time for photography but I made a nice 2 egg omelette with avocado, onion and cheddar. I applied two cranks of the peppermill.

It is easier to get good images when the subject is interesting. So chalk it up to your cooking.

I make the world’s least attractive omelettes, so I won’t be photographing mine.
I make them rarely, and usually with broccoli and cheese. I’m another one who adds black pepper to my eggs.

As you say Morning Glory , omelets are used differently in Hawaii.
Cold Somen Salad is very popular in Hawaii, which contains julienne strips of omelet.

A French omelette is rolled, no browning, soft and custardy interior. The diner style omelet is cooked longer, has some browning on it, and folded over the toppings. Here's another example of a less than perfect French omelette.
But you know, no matter how it looks, it is still a very tasty item!
