Name an ingredient which can't be used in a salad

Add water, and salt and cook it, perhaps but then that's not a single ingredient.

The ingredient can be cooked first (like potatoes are) and given that all that's needed to make a flatbread is water, I reckon it counts. If you have a flatbread then you have the makings of a fattoush.

I also think flour could be used to thicken a salad dressing. In fact I'm sure I've seen some vintage recipes which use it in that way. Toasted flour might be interesting to do that...

I reckon almost any ingredient can be used in a salad and I've used a fair few vegetables, cheeses, fruits, meats and fish to make salad in the past. Can you think of an ingredient which couldn't (or shouldn't) be used? I'm meaning a single ingredient not something already made from various ingredients, such as 'Christmas pudding'.
Oil and flour can be some of them which cannot be used to make salads.
