Pears In Red Wine

Here it is going by memory
One bottle of red wine
1 cup of sugar
A few twigs of cinnamon, maybe one is good
A few cloves
One large orange juice
Peels of one orange
I stewed mine for an hour, if you want softer, stew them a bit longer
After you are satisfied with your pears, fish them out, add a bit of cornstarch to make the sauce thick
Then drain and remove all the bits in the sauce, I just use a tong to remove them, and not strained as recommended.

Thank you! If you don't mind I'll post it via the forum preferred format with you as the originator. I know you've got that Mom thing going on. 😉

I don't mind, but it’s nothing original from me, it’s mostly the internet. I do have cookbooks with this recipe, but this year I'm too lazy to look up.
