This blood orange salad is seasoned with rosemary and Extra Virgin Olive Oil, it works perfect both as a starter or snack.
I have used a variety of sicilian blood orange called ‘Tarocco‘.
Sicily, and precisely the territory of Etna Volcano, has the most optimal climate and soil for the good ripening of orange.
Serves 2, Preparation time 15 mins
- Blood Orange, 2
- EVOO – Extra Virgin Olive Oil, 2 tablespoons
- Rosemary, fresh: a sprig
- Salt and Black Pepper, to taste
Mince the rosemary.
In a bowl add Evoo, a pinch of salt and rosemary.
Peel the oranges, get rid of the white part, slice them by getting slices half a centimeter.
Add them in a plate, pour the seasoning and let them absorb it for at least 15 minutes.
Serve with a sprinkling of black pepper
