Recipe Steamed bao buns

Barriehie dang! I'm going there next time we go to Vegas!!!
👍 It was my go to Asian store. There's another one, name in either Thai or Vietnamese, that's at Spring Mtn and Decatur. It's in the Spring Oaks shopping center.

I made some sourdough bapao yesterday.
(I posted something elsewhere).
They were tasty but not pretty at all
Just one thing:
if you make them in a stainless or alu steamer, then put a towel under the lid so the steam doesn't condense against the lid and drops on the bread.
This is no issue with a bamboo steamer

You can make them as it doesn't require an oven, just a pot of boiling water :)

Yes! On my list that I can't seem to eat through very fast. 😁

This is one of Craig's favorite meals. I've been using some nice thick strips of Pork belly for different recipes from a store we recently started shopping at instead of a large slab of pork belly like is in the recipe. Cuts down on curing and baking time.

It even uses coriander seeds for those that need to use some up. I'm sure you can use this on chicken as well, probably thighs due to a higher fat content, just cut down even more, maybe just late overnight or early morning on cure time.

The bun recipe also uses fat from the protein as an ingredient.
