The CookingBites recipe challenge: beer

Great!
Now I want Beef Stew.

I have all of the ingredients, just no time to make it, and none in reserve in the deep freeze, dang it all!
 
Beer Braised Beef Short Ribs

I used Abita Turbo Dog beer, which is a dark beer -- like a Louisiana Guinness. The veggies are the cajun Trinity, too. Served on top of some mashed potatoes.

I'll write up a recipe and post it tomorrow... maybe... probably.

Looks gorgeous! Full marks for the plating. Its not easy to take a good photo of brown stewed things.
 
It was really more about positioning the lighting in relation to the dark blob of meat. I rotated the plate in a semi-circle as I snapped pictures, to get the best angle.

The plating is good too! The rosemary and the pieces of vegetables over the meat and the 'bed' of mash.

Yeah - we are all getting lazy writing up recipes. I'm not 100% certain if I'm officially entering the eggs as I have so many ideas now! But I will post the recipe, plus the recipe for the egg and bacon salad I made with them, using a Guinness salad dressing :).
