Update: My back is doing much better today (knocking on wood). I didn't sleep at all last night. There was no sleeping position that didn't hurt. So, I slept half of the day today. That means I'll be up late tonight.

Doc sent a prescription for Tramadol to my pharmacy today. I don't plan to take it unless I really have to. It is an opioid, and those scare me.

I also have results from the x-rays. I have degenerative disk disease (not confirmed with a specialist). I am getting a referral to a specialist, and for physical therapist to follow the specialist, so my insurance will cover it.

In other news... someone got my debit card number, and used it to buy $450 worth of women's clothing online.

My bank sent me fraud alerts by text, email and automated phone call. Good on them for that. I called them, and they were a bit of a PITA to work with, but with a lot of effort on my part, I got them to not make me pay the $450, contest the charges, and wait up to 90 days to maybe get my money back. They wanted me to carry the burden until they eventually got around to maybe get reimbursed. The lost prevention person I talked to also asked me a bunch of questions, as if I was being investigated. Sure, I bought $450 worth of women's clothing.

On Monday, I plan to start moving my money to another bank. My bank was bought by another bank, and the new bank sucks. It is going to be a PITA, but I've had enough.

That is a real nuisance. I´ve got an issue with my bank, too. 55 years a customer,. and now they tell me they´re closing my account because they no longer do business in Venezuela. Well sod them - Ill find a bank that does.

My husband had an allergic reaction Wednesday on his face around his eyes--maybe a bug bite, pollen, sunburn, or a combination of all. He's been icing, using benadryl, and antihistamine eyedrops. It's getting better.
So glad he is getting better. Allergy season is kicking in here too, with the spring blooming plants...get well soon!

Yeah, I have several things on auto-pay, like my utility bills. I'll have to make sure I get all of them moved to the new bank account. I'll move most of my money right away, but need to leave some in the old account to cover any auto-pay stuff I missed.

In addition to the debit card, I only carry one credit card, and I checked my account, and it was okay. I have no idea how someone got my debit card number. I am very careful about where I use it. A credit card is safer, since it is not connected to your bank account.

I hope you get rid of the pain very soon. So sorry to hear you suffer. Much success with the treatments, I hope you recover to play golf very soon, or whatever your favourite sport or passtime recreation is.

Thanks. It's all part of getting old, I guess. That, and I was not particularly kind to my body when I was younger. My back took a bit of abuse over the years.

I bought a gym membership last week, right before my back went out. As soon as I see the specialist, I can start working out. I need to find out what exercises to do, and what not to do before I get started. I need to get back in shape, without doing anything that will make things worse.

My immediate challenge is to get back on a normal sleep cycle. Not sleeping last night, and sleeping most of today has me messed up. 🥱 I should be sleeping now, but I went to bed for awhile, and just laid awake in bed. I hate that. I need to get back to my normal midnight until 8AM schedule.

As per Yorky 's suggestion I changed my avatar to fit my title. I was thinking about doing that anyway.

39°C here today.

Which is apparently 102°F in old money.

In my opinion, it's just bloody hot!

Probably humid, too. That makes it worse. Houston feels worse at 92F than Dallas does at 102F, due to the extra humidity.

BTW, I just noticed that you are exactly 12 hours opposite of me.

Actually the humidity is not so bad at present. Less than 50%.
