The Good News Thread

So here DH & I are in the Big City for a surgical procedure for DH and we have to wait 5-7 days after for a follow up appointment with the Doctor. We decided that rather than trek back and forth up and down the mountain, we'd just stay in a hotel until we could get in to see doc.
WELL!
I finally got an appointment this morning for Monday first thing!
That means that we can head back home on Monday ...
YEAH!

This has been a long journey.

Yep, I remember our trip to Melbourne. It should have been 2 weeks. It ended up being 8 weeks... hubby loved it. He's a city person. Likes walking around and trying new restaurants. Me, not so much.

Two little bits of good news.
The first is Mr SSOAP has just picked me out a phone that will be completely separate from all my apple stuff and my usual phone number so one day a week I’ll be completely unavailable (other than by email) to anyone apart from Mr SSOAP and my two boys.
I’m so EXCITED, a whole day of no-one else’s messages or messes to tend to! I can’t even begin picture what that’s going to feel like

Second bit of good news, eldest messaged that there’s a festival on in Bristol this weekend that I did not know about -

Honestly Bazza the way things are going my day off will likely be spent staring into space catching flies (do you have that expression over there?).
But perhaps zombie me will be able to buy some lovely wings at Wingfest for having on that day?

Some good news, well good apart from the fact I was going to be able to go out for a ride for the first time in nearly three months this Saturday and that now can’t happen, but hey back to the good news -

At my Pops cardiology appointment on Monday I asked how long the waiting list is for ablation (a procedure carried out to return the heart rate to normal). The cardiologist said it’s 9 months ish (that’s a long time with a miss firing heart especially when it puts you at a much higher risk of having a stroke). He asked if we were available for cancellation and yep you guessed it he now has a cancellation appointment for Saturday!

All things being equal he will have gone on the list and be done and dusted in less than a week!
