Me too, can't stand that stuff in a can. That would work for a wild rice and broccoli cheddar soup, but I strongly dislike tomato soup.

If someone made me homemade and that was all there was to eat, I would eat it, but there are a lot of other soups I would rather have.Me too, can't stand that stuff in a can.![]()

They can call it what they like: cheese product, plastic cheese, pasteurised fermented curds, minced milk solids with annato - I don't mind and I don't care. There are times in my life when, all I want is a crappy hamburger with 3 slices on top.I think they call it a prepared cheese product.![]()

Absolutely spot on. Sometimes when out I smell a cheap crappy burger (made from who knows what parts of a cow) and I just have to have one and it's delicious. Not something I'd have all the time as I prefer to make my meals from scratch when I can, but sometimes you've just got to be bad and enjoy it!!They can call it what they like: cheese product, plastic cheese, pasteurised fermented curds, minced milk solids with annato - I don't mind and I don't care. Does faux cheese or whatever one chooses to call it, work in a grilled (toasted) cheese sandwich, though?
My attempt to steer us back on topic...
Well it does contain milk...probably not much, but then it doesn't take much, does it?I love a bit of plastic cheese but wow it messes with my guts!
We got it on the first one!Technically, a burger is a sandwich - at least in the USA.
On a plain old grilled cheese sarnie, yep, it works. Remember Velveeta? You don't want to cook it too much, however.
Cheese on toast - it chars and sticks to the roof of your mouth.
Not a lot but plastic cheese is disproportionately bad, such a small amount creates quite a quesoquake!Well it does contain milk...probably not much, but then it doesn't take much, does it?
