Weekly Menu (2025)

I bought some Castilla squash and now I’m researching recipes for that vegetable. Maybe au gratin with my leftover croutons.
I like to eat orange colored vegetables.

Ok, I think I just forget about the squash dish with the lamb, I will do some sort of potato dish with the lamb.
I’m saving the squash to do miso glaze the following day with the balsamic chicken.

Yes my weekly menu is evolving. It’s now roasted shoulder lamb with onions, potato, carrots. I will not make a separate potato dish, I stick with simplicity, haha. I also just make red cabbage, red apple, red onions(3 reds), and garbanzo beans salad. Maybe throwing a bit of dill because I like dill and I only paid 20c for a bunch. I may make some mint sauce because I also bought mint for 20c. My daughter likes mint sauce with everything.

We're still having shrimp quesadillas on Saturday, right?

My take on a weekly menu is to go to the supermarket on a Saturday, and buy loads of stuff that looks good, fresh, cheap, interesting, or just plain different.
Depending on what I've got, I'll start putting dishes together and, yes, planning - but in my head. Changes are immediate, frequent, and often quixotic!

Lebanese Fattoush. First thing that came to mind.
Here is a picture of this bread, it’s from New York and cholesterol free.
