I threw a bunch of winter vegetable seeds and they all came up after the rain last week. Looking forward to some homegrown arugula leaves for Christmas. I also stuck the bottom of my green onions and they seem to grow too. This is how I get green onions year round.

Good idea with the green onions. 👍 Here they have grown wild and are coming up all over the place.

I just photographed a few things. Missed a load off such as the figs, apple, dual graft pear, all of the herbs, olives, passionfruit, quince, cooking plum, and probably more. Some of the plums are labelled apricot, I'll try to work out which in a moment

All the tilling is done! The new tomato area is covered up for the winter and right before it's supposed to rain tomorrow. Up through December I'll be raking up leaves and making mulch piles so middle of winter I'll take off the cardboard and put 6" of leaves/mulch on the garden area.

I think I would have to rake up all of that loose cardboard. It would drive me mad

I just finished my section to grow leeks yesterday, this afternoon, I will till slightly and cover with garden soil, then I will broadcast some leek seeds.

Today I finally had a chance to mulch and fertilize my roses, just one side of the front garden, the other side will be another day. I didn’t get a chance to move my florist roses to individual pot, right now they are 3x1.

These were really cheap jobs from Big W about 7 years ago. paid a whole AU$10 each for them (about GBP5).

now the problem is that they produce that many flowers and buds that the plant hardly manages to stay upright after rain!
they are a much nicer purple in real life

A few more from the garden that I missed last time around.
