What’s going on in your garden (2025)?

I'll eat them.
I got an enormous capacity of eating blackened & peeled ones....
I could dry them, but that doesnt appeal since it takes so long to get them yellow
Maybe I preserve some in olive oil
That's an idea! I'll have to check it out.

I'll check it tomorrow.
I was talking bell peppers though, not chili pepper, although preserving methods should be similar
I often preserve (Bell) peppers that way. Just 2 ingredients in my approach. Roast the peppers until blackened, then peel, slice to size required. Layer in jar with olive oil and you're done.

I lobe eating the blackened skins and extra bits that don't make it into the sterilised jars.

I'm about to harvest some more yellow peppers. Maybe some green ones as well from the smaller plants as to not to stress them too much.
And egg plant, green beans, papaya and masau.
I've removed the flowers of my cucumber as the plants are only 3 cm tall

Tomorrow, because it's past 11pm here, I'll post my recipe for peperonata.
Looks like I already did, a couple of years back: Peperonata
Provided you cover the peperonata with oil, and cook the sealed jars in boiling water for about 20 minutes to achieve a vacuum seal, this stuff lasts for ages. Too much oil? No, you can reuse the oil for salad dressings or for cooking.

My gardener went to the house 10 days ago ( to cut the front lawns - 8 big black rubbish bags full of grass) and last Thursday (10 big black rubbish bags of grass.
Tropical gardens can be lush, but do they grow fast!

We had a lot of heavy rain yesterday and it was hammering down at 3am this morning so the ground looks so much healthier, flowers are battered sadly but hopefully everywhere has benefitted greatly.
