What’s going on in your garden (2025)?

Darwinism is currently happening in my (partners) garden! The birds are nesting in the trees and are not learning that when there are 5 excited dogs in the garden, you shouldn't land on the ground and sit there doing nothing else you are likely to end up as dog food!

I have a 'lovely' photo of one of them with the bird in their mouth - I've not uploaded the photo as I didn't want to put any one off of their food! We did manage to persuade one of the dogs to let go of one of the birds which was miraculously still moving in her mouth and somehow managed to walk/fly away from the whole palaver after getting the dog walking leads out which distracted all the dogs momentarily so it's not all doom and gloom for the birds!

Kate used to be as surprised as we were when she’d catch one.
1 dog isn't bother at all and is in fact scared of birds, 1 when she gets one locks her jaw and wont let go (she does this with anything she thinks will be taken off of her) and the other 3 are just about still puppies so it's exciting for them if they catch one but they're not trying to kill them, it's just a game to them!

Either way, this weekend was my first time witnessing it happening so I was a bit taken back by it all..

Damn, that looks awesome. I've always wanted to grow tomatoes, but from what I've read and seen, it seems difficult.
Thank you!

Not at all! They're very hardy plants. I started these from seeds in Feb. and planted them middle of April. I've got 3 Big Beef F1, 1 Roma, and 2 Mortgage Lifters. Last week I quit counting the green ones when I got to 68. 🫣

I inspect daily for bugs and treat without using insecticides. 👍

You should give it a go! I recall when I had 1 plant in the middle of the yard... 😃
