What’s going on in your garden (2025)?

No. I made some pickles that said to cook them the other day and now they're mush... That leaves 1 1/2 gallons and no more room in the fridge. I'm making salads or sandwiches mostly. Made a quart of tzatzki last week. These are the everyday garden variety so it doesn't take much heat to ruin it.
There's a smashed cucumber recipe that's quite nice. This one is close to what I made Smashed Asian Cucumber Salad

Rigged up some shade for my new squash plants.

After cleaning up 6 sacks of elephant grass yesterday (it's probably not called that, but it's a weed that takes over the lawn and grows 4 ft tall) I tidied the kitchen garden this morning. The kitchen garden is where I grow my ginger, garlic, tomatoes and chile peppers. I reckon I need some more soil and better fertilizer, but the ginger is growing beautifully. I managed to fumigate this afternoon, since it poured for about 30 minutes this morning.
Edit: I've just discovered it's called guinea grass. None the wiser, but it's a real nuisance!

Mowed the back lawns this afternoon, due to weather either being wet or crazy hot they have been neglected and looking horrible, it is cool and dry today so perfect for gardening. A lot of weeding to do though :(

I've just spent 4 hours in the garden clearing up the cut grass and the guinea grass. Now it's looking a bit cleaner. 6 black bags of rubbish for the dustmen.
I've got 2 hands of bananas growing right now; the first should be ready in a month or so, and the other will probably not be ready until September/October.

If my 15 lb. watermelon is ripe I'm going to harvest the rest and run the mower over all that. The weeds/wire grass is taking over that part of the garden and the wire grass is darn near impossible to remove. I should solarize it what with August, spelled HOT and dry, right here in a minute.
