What’s going on in your garden (2025)?

Picked up 6 Carolina Reaper plants for 3 bucks a few months ago. They are doing exceptionally well in my back yard. One problem is that I really don't know what I am going to do with them once they ripen. I may use one or two and try and make a hot sauce but they are just too crazy hot for human consumption. I took a sliver off of one a couple of weeks ago and it was insane heat. I should get about 15 per plant..

Even on the plant, they look diabolical.

I'd try a fermented Sriracha sauce.

I have found that you can pick them and store them in the freezer whole and just use when you want to. We have both been and red chillies in our freezer. I just give them about 5 minutes defrosting and cut with a sharp knife.

Finally got this thin built. Now I need to secure the panels with sheet metal screws, then work on the base around the out side,, Build some steps and clean up the edges with some patio stones I have already. I also have materials to build the shelving. Just need a couple more weekends.

My husband wants to buy me one of these! I lose too damn many plants to critters now.

Decent for the money. Could be a bit lightweight for open windy areas. Very time consuming and fiddly-farty to put together. If you are into that sort of thing. It an be a challenge but doable. There were a few bad words spoken during the building of it.
