Hilton Garden Inn right downtown, pizza at Aniello’s, and breakfast at Emma’s Kitchen!I am about an hour from Corning and yep, I did see your post and am trying to figure out which hotel it was![]()
The rest is up in the air. How about everyone else?
(sorry, couldn't resist)I have a bag of seeds of hundreds of red tomato seeds, which one is the question. This year I will restrict myself to 8 plants only.Ahh, I'm pretty much stuck on the ground(sorry, couldn't resist)
What ever happened to good old fashioned RED Tomatoes? Cherry tomatoes sound good though.
I’ve finally found toms that grow well in this humid, hot, bug infested South. The Big Beef F1 and Roma resist all! I ended up with 5 gallons of jarred tomatoes and sauces.Just cleaned up my tomato bed, it’s ready for some tomato plants this coming January.
I’m excited thinking about next season. What varieties to grow. I know for sure I’ll grow one Sun Gold cherry tomato, and 2 Black Krim tomatoes. The rest is up in the air. How about everyone else?
I have trouble with some paste tomato, I think I will focus on just growing large red tomatoes for BLT.I’ve finally found toms that grow well in this humid, hot, bug infested South. The Big Beef F1 and Roma resist all! I ended up with 5 gallons of jarred tomatoes and sauces.![]()
That's what I wanted, the one slicer for a tomato sandwich.I have trouble with some paste tomato, I think I will focus on just growing large red tomatoes for BLT.
They're great everywhere and tough plants to boot. They'll grow where you are I'm sure. I saw them on the National Gardening Association forum and the tomato queen, New York Rita, grows them. They can well too...You can put me down for a batch of those Formula One Big Beefy ones - they'd be great on grilled cheese and tomatoe or ham cheese and tomatoe omlettes![]()

Tomatoes are easy and these plants are tough. I'm living in the deep South where we have 3 bug cycles a summer, it'll be a blast.Damn you - you are tempting me to give them a try ..................... we love good juicy tomatoes with most foods, especially home made burgers
Geuss I am going to have to learn how to grow food now and NOT just cook it![]()
