What’s going on in your garden (2025)?

Today I get to walk around my garden, enjoy the calming atmosphere and smell the roses.
Here is a photo of Just Joey, it’s one of a few standard tree roses I have left.

We have those here!!! Bullheads or puncture weed! You have to hoe them as soon as they sprout so that they don't flower and seed. Reminds me I need to do that as we had a drought summer and some fall rain which made them pop up

I can't put a smiley to that!

Around about 300g of raspberries, plus red currants and a few strawberries. It's a 1L measuring jug.

They're absolutely magnificent. Is what I see in the photos about the maximum size for yellow oysters? Just asking because one of the few available mushrooms here in Caracas are oyster, and they're fairly large.

I too wonder what they are, we have King Oysters and regular oysters, they are much bigger than those in your pictures.

I'd say they are yellow oysters. The box kits are brilliant. You really don't have to do anything.

I went out to a Korean store and bought some King Oysters because of the pictures above. I don’t think I ever saw yellow oysters in the shop or at the farmers market.

Anyway while searching for cookie recipes from my computer I found a few photos of my peonies. I’m really mad that I moved this peony around and now I can’t find it. Possibly dead.

This is my first peony, I bought 6 pots from Costco and decided to plant them all in the ground. Very typical of me, I normally don’t usually bury any plant deep, and this time my husband hadn’t come around redoing my work. The following year new peony buds emerging, this is when I knew I could grow them here, just don't bury them deep. At the peak, this peony produced 13 buds for me, that’s quite an accomplishment for zone 10. This is where I can say where I am I can grow bougainvillea and peonies, both impossible to grow in one climate, either peony or bougainvillea, make your pick, lol.

So this is what I’m looking forward to this Spring, a bouquet like this, all flowers are from my garden.
