What’s the next kitchen item you plan to buy (2025)?

I hear that.
I am pretty particular about the plastic wrap I use, and Glad definitely changed something. That stuff can't be moved from point A to point B without it folding in half. And I've been using it for probably 25 years.
Something has changed
I use to get Hefty brand at Big Lots but they're no more. It was thicker so it moved less which made it more functional. I'm tossing around, counter space thing, getting one of those 2000' ft commercial rolls from webstaurantstore.com...

It's unbelievably simple
How?

I don't think I understand.
What method do you use where you can knock out a dozen at a time?
You line a coffee cup (or teacup) with plastic wrap, or whatever we call it these days: Poached eggs 1.JPG
Then you pull the corners of the plastic together and scrunch them up:

Then, you just dump them into some simmering water. This picture is only for two eggs, but if you use a slightly larger pan, you can get a dozen in there, no problem. Just rub a little bit of oil on the plastic before you add the egg; it makes it easier to remove it.

I learned this from a restaurant I once went to. No fancy egg poaching thingies (which will only do 4 at a time) and you only need 1 cup to make 4,6,8,10,12 eggs.

Ah I see! I read the post and thought how on earth do you heat a dozen coffee cups with eggs in them?! 😆

The same way a bartender pours 12 shots out of the same bottle. Only in this case you are pouring hot water.
Line them up side by side, take your tea kettle, and splash some hot water in each cup right on down the line.

I had a bowl of cereal a couple hours ago. Grape Nut Flakes. Love that stuff as is, no added sugar or fruit with it. Just whole milk.
Now I'm enjoying my Bialetti coffee with some half and half.

Is your Bialetti coffee from a moka pot? If so is the pot aluminum or stainless and is the handle bakelite? I've got a Grosche that has a few manufacturing oopses I'll say and am considering an upgrade.
