Anyway, beer battered cod, chips and Yorkshire dhal again this evening for me. You'd think I like it!

The pieces of cooked batter in the deepfry we call "scraps". They were free in the chippy when I was a kid.
Do you put tomato sauce on the chips?
We are big on eggs here - but I've never understood; what does 'easy over' actually mean? And if they aren't cooked easy over then what are they called?
