My wife made tilapia (aka poo fish) in a parsley, garlic, butter, and lemon sauce, with pan roasted veggies (broccoli and cauliflower florets, baby carrots, and onions with soy sauce), and a toasted italian loaf with butter.

The sauce and veggies were delicious, but I won't eat poo fish, so my dinner is yet to be determined.

Why won't you eat tilapia?

I saw a show once- called Dirty Jobs - where they showed how farm raised tilapia are grown in America. Essentially, when farm raised salmon are removed from their watery pens, young tilapia are then raised in the same pens and feed off the feces of their prior inhabitants. Hence, poo-fish.
I just can't get past that, normal as it relatively is in the natural world.

Thanks I couldn't remember which show I saw that on.

Well, the sauce was good. Sort of a thin buerre blanc.

This morning's breakfast was a roast beast sandwich with mayo on white bread, side of Doritos.

Coincidence? I had a dish of Doritos and salsa for my "elevenses" today. I didn't capture an image though. These were some I had a few weeks ago.

Lol, Yorky. I've never had salsa with Doritos. Just plain tortilla chips. Sounds good, though.

I stopped off at a Korean market this morning and picked up loads of good and mysterious stuff for the next few days' dinner.

Tonight will be salmon and eel sashimi, side of furikake topped rice.

Also, I bought a sliced, steamed squid to go alongside with gochujang as the standard condiment.

I was very tempted to buy some of these monsters:

But then I calculated the price.

The king crab on the left, probably 80 cm across if you spread out it's legs, would be somewhere north of $150.

The dungeness would be north of $50 each.

Tasty and EXPENSIVE little monsters.

That is VERY expensive. I can get live crabs on the coast here for about £8. ($10)
