The night before last - shellfish stew with crab 'bonbons' and saffron. I cooked the potatoes in saffron infused water then added to seafood stock made from prawn shells & saffron.

Yorky & caseydog (and anyone else interested in food photography) - not the best of photos as this was shot under the cooker hood lights in the evening - much tweaking of white balance etc. to get it to look decent.

I like that picture, because it sort of looks like the food is just floating in space.

This is to make you feel better, MypinchofItaly - authentic Italian chicken soup.

I know it's authentic, because it says "specialista in alamenti Italiana dal 1948," and the back of the box shows it was manufactured in that most Italian city of fine cuisine...Boardman, Ohio. 🤨

I probably mentioned it before - when I bought new LED bulbs for my cooker hood they had three different colour temperatures. Each time you turn them off and on they change to the next one.

Wife buys frozen pizza bases, it's lightly basted with a tomato paste, and I mean lightly, I took some basil, and sauce and loaded it with taste. Maple syrup cured bacon smoked with Manuka. Cheese and tomato, lots of pepper. It's cooking now, pic later.

So, as it says “specialista in alimenti italiani dal 1948”, we trust them!

Today, I am making half a pig's head. Yes, you read that right. I found a recipe that suits this, and will be going to town on it. I'll post it [a warning, heads up (ahem) when done.]

Otherwise, I'm also eating leftover west African peanut soup with chicken - which I should post a recipe for here later on, as well. At any rate, this recipe includes the peanut, chicken, broth, tomato, collard greens, onion, cumin, a hint of hot pepper, ginger.
