The last third of the pork beef ground meat,soft koftas, this time with sweet potato puree which we tried to present this way.
Great lunch.

The last of the cottage pie. At least for a while. It was very good. I found the mince half cooked in the freezer so I'm not sure where it came from. The brown sauce is Waitrose Essential.

There are some very different interpretations of pizza on this page .
I would love to get a pizza oven so I can get a better bake on the crust, but I can't justify the expense and the space for the rare occasions I feel like making my own.

Mine doesn't count as pizza, Flammkuchen is just flatbread.

Lunch of smoked salmon, crab and prawn terrine, pickles and a horseradish cream.

Dessert last night - store-bought, and not very good. The cream filling had the consistency (and taste) of melted plastic.

A shoulder of award winning Jacob's Lamb from Tori & Ben.

A gentle wet rub of mustard, honey, garlic and herbs, and a nice red wine bath to relax over. Now off in the oven, very low for four hours.

But flatbread is a nice shortcut pizza crust. I'd say it counts.

A pizza base is just a flat bread, one day somebody in Italy decided to stick some tomatoes and basil on top whilst it was baked, that's all.

While in essence thats true a real pizza has an airated crust ( like the woodfire Naepolitan ones) and thats not required for flammkuchen
