What did you cook or eat today (August 2022)?

Went to a few farm markets/delis, so eating a sandwich with an in-shop-made bologna (tastes nothing like the supermarket stuff), green onion cheese, a farm-fresh yellow tomato, some lettuce, and some spicy mustard:

It looks a little funny because that’s knobby lettuce from near the core.

Chicken & Wild Rice Soup two ways.
Straight up for DH, he detests anything "creamy".
Creamy Chicken & Wild Rice Soup for me and Mom.
DH: You didn't have to make two different Soup
Moi: Really? Look in that other pot
DH: OH HELL NO!!!
There ya go.
No hardship, I just split the batch and add the roux and to one of them, easy.
I adore this Soup and Mom and I are the kind of people who eat Soup year-round.

I'll take the creamy!

I really do have to remember to ask my daughter (who actually has artistic talent) to photo our dinners before we eat them. We had stir-fried long beans with red chili oil and garlic last night, and it wasn't until we'd finished that I thought, "Y'know, that looked pretty good, why didn't I ask Liz to whip out her phone?"

Sometimes I get this thought that I am culinary repeating myself, but this banana bread is justso good and fits my eating needs as a glove. Corn flour and rice flour.
I thought about entering it into the flour challenge. I shall see...
Topped with my homemade plum spread, no sugar added, nothing added really, except for 2 tbsp water.
