What did you cook or eat today (August 2022)?

There’s nothing like a tomato sandwich with home-grown tomatoes and homemade, fresh-out-of-the-oven bread.

Steak topped with tomatoes in balsamic plus a tossed salad (spinach, cucumber, peppers, green onion, carrot, and cheese) with homemade creamy poppyseed dressing- except I didn’t have poppy seeds so I used celery seed instead.

Husband is normally the steak expert in our house so I’m pretty impressed with myself - both mine and husband’s steaks turned out just the way we like them.

Oh my, I've been craving it for two months now.. but my husband hates going there and the two buses that go to my village have been suspended for summer due to construction work, so I've been unable to get any. Can't wait until mid september when the bus will be back!
