What did you cook or eat today: August 2025?

Eating outside on the town circle:

But you get to drink when you make them right? 😁
I get to drink when I don't make them right, too. But I haven't been drinking past few days because of a minor health issue.

And I actually don't make them, my OH does. I just buy everything, trim, prep, and tear plastic for the wrapping. That way he doesn't get his chicken-tainted hands on the plastic wrap box and roll. And I clean up using a bleach solution and put the mats in the dishwasher.

We just got back from our late lunch mystery shop, or as kaneohegirlinaz would say, our linner. Good meals and generous portions. I love their chicken flatbread pizza appetizer (brought home half for later). I opted for the baked potato instead of the cheddar mashed to go with my parmesan encrusted chicken. We both have leftovers for another meal.

TastyReuben DH's younger sister lives about 45 minutes south of Gettysburg, PA and his older brother use to live not far from Sis.
Both brothers are huge American History buffs, therefore, we go to Gettysburg when ever we can.
As a side note: DH & I spent 1 month on a road trip, trapesing through the "13 Colonies" and where was one of our first stops but Gettysburg. It was fascinating for this "little Hay-why-an gal" as my step-grandfather us to say.

Prepping supper right now.
A fresh pot of steamed White Rice is happily perking away.
My Quick Cucumber Kim Chee is resting in the `fridge
The B/S Chicken Thighs are defrosting, waiting for their Kara`age coating and then swim in the deep fryer.
The "kitchen table" as DH calls it, is set with each diners preferred weapon, Aloha brand Shoyu is at the ready as is the Nori Fume Furikake.
AH YUM!
One of top favorite meals, at home that is.

Well, once we get settled, you all have an open invitation. Seriously.

That’s what I call it. MrsT calls it the “dining room table.” - where I’m from, it could be in the garage, but it’s still the kitchen table.
We had a friend back home on Oahu, who would have all the boys bring the "kitchen table" out to the open-air carport when ever he had a "gathering", usually after work, and there'd be a good 30-40 people there... the carport was a much better idea!
