You really must make it. It really is delicious. I actually prefer the version with tinned fish. Do use fresh thyme as it makes such a difference. And the daal should be like soup. I taught one friend tonight and just sent the recipe to her and to another friend who asked for the recipe after eating it at our house (I tend to make it with fresh salmon when having people over.
