What did you cook or eat today (June 2025)?

Tapas. A pork belly plate each, duck breast for me, Iberico ham for Craig, churrasco for Craig. Patatas bravas and mushrooms in a garlic and some kind of whole dried chile sauce to share. 2 glasses of Sangria for me. Wanted to try dessert, but stuffed.

There was a load of skinless sausages, half a pack of lardons and four rashers of bacon in need of using up. Had a bacon sarnie and cooked up the rest for I dunno what later 🤷‍♀️

The air fryer setting on the Ninja (instant pot thing) did a good job. Put it all in at the same time and pulled out the bacon, then the lardons and finally the sausages. All done and dusted in under 15minutes 👍

maybe you posted elsewhere but how do you stop the sausages from disintegrating without skins? is it just a case of squishing them really hard when forming them?

Liliha Bakery inside Macy's at Ala Moana Shopping Center for linner today
Miso Butterfish
Kara'age Chicken
all served with their famous Butter Rolls that are served grilled in butter ad a raspberry dipping sauce (ssshhhh, don't tell DH about the gobs of butter there, he claims to dislike butter)

Accidental pita bread with chorizo and a smear of hot sauce ;)

Just mixed up a "salsa sauce"
3 types of chili's, garlic, tomatillo's, fish sauce & wine vinegar. It's thin, it's hot, very hot and also very nice

My sourdough was not ready yet, but I took of a bit of dough, rolled it out and baked it in a dry covered skillet and it puffed up :)

A light hot weather lunch. We're expecting Spanish weather until the end of august due to an unusual heat dome over Western Europe so it will be a hot summer.

Peppers with low fat cream cheese and everything bagel seasoning, cucumber, goldfish crackers & a pita with low fat beef spread

I needed my fix of vegetables after the last "few" days of travel and recovery.

It was a yellow label job... 3 times that quantity of everything. broccoli 30p, 5 baby aubergines 35p, shiitake mushrooms 40p. 50p for organic baby potatoes. And some vegan boursin.
I did pay full price for the onion, garlic and thyme. There's a vegan sausage in there as well.

I went to Trader Joe's on Sunday. I love their cheese and at a pretty good price. I saw a dairy-free version of garlic and herb boursin. It's excellent. We serve our soft cheese on bakery bread (Italian round loaf/panella).
