I love pepperoni!

It wasn't the pepperoni I objected to, I felt the dough was just ok.

So you fry pickles/ gerkins? I'm preserving mine atm. I've done about 12 jars

Dredge sliced pickles in seasoned flour, and deep fry them until you have a crispy crust. Yum!

Doesn't sound very yummy but when I do hush puppies I'll do that as a side.

Language thing. Gherkins are one type of pickled cucumber in the US. I think all Pickled cucumbers in NZ are called gherkins. Gherkin here is small -- about the size of my thumb. The dill pickles I fried are made from full size cucumbers that are sliced, like the pickles used on sandwiches or burgers.

The potatoes were roasted in home made lard and were scrumptious. Crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside - just like it said on the tin.
