What did you cook or eat today (May 2025)?

I was out and about running errands before we leave for Hawaii and didn't want to have to make anything for our lunch

We've been saying ever since this place opened that we were going to try it.
This is new-to-us-two, never had this before ... got the Three Finger Combo, with an up-sell on the drink.
Not bad actually.
The Chicken Fingers are really good, not dry and over cooked, still crunchy batter on the outside by the time I got this box lunch home almost an hour later (I opened the box so that the steam could escape 😉)
The Cane Sauce was okay but just a touch salty for my taste.
The Coleslaw was like anywhere else, a bit on the sweet side - DH didn't care for it.
Never had Texas Toast before, not too shabby.
I opted for their house made Lemonade, it's just okay.
Would we go here again?
Yes
I'd just get the Chicken Fingers, bring it home and make my own Fries/Chips (we don't care for Crinkle Cut Fries that they offer) and maybe a tossed salad and call it linner (late lunch/early dinner).
Both DH & I said the same thing, Cane's is better than Church's  and we use to LOVE Church's.

So much smaller pieces now. 😭

Barriehie yeah, ya know when I opened the box I thought that these looked might small, but what would I know, that was I first time...
Back in the day Pippi's groomer liked that for a tip so if she did Pippi's nails no charge I'd get her a lunch from there. I'd take a chicken finger out for Pippi; she never said anything... 😏

YEP! I mystery shop them once every few months or so. I do like their chicken but I don't love their sauces and I never eat coleslaw unless I make it myself. It's a requirement to order the fries, though, so I do that. I don't have to eat them all, just a couple so I can gauge the flavor and temperature.

I like bone-in chicken, so Church's had it's merits. RC doesn't offer bone-in chicken, only chicken fingers (at least in OH).

I’ve never had Canes. The story of the guy that started it is pretty interesting.

Yeah I think it's pricey. If I had to buy it on my own dime...well I wouldn't likely do that unless I was desperately hungry and there were no better options.

We have so many chicken places in town. Zaxbys, Guthries, Huey McGoo, Bojangles, KFC, Popeyes. Two Chic Fil A’s. And we are only a town if 35,000
