What did you cook or eat today (May 2025)?

So far seasoned yellow rice with collard greens cooked with smoked pork.

So far coffee, but I have to go do another sub shop this afternoon after I get done with my two merchandising jobs (the food shop is in the same area). I love that they give me plenty of time to get stuff done so I can sit around in my robe and read the forum first. The merch jobs need to be completed by 7pm on 5/31 but I will do them this afternoon, and the sub shop I have until 9 tonight to do but I will of course get it done well before then...
 
I played around a bit for dinner.
It's cold. No central heating, so woodfire it is.
And if you got that going, you may as well cook on it.
Plus there were some remarks about waffle irons in another thread, which made me use them

Wok over fire, cabbage, chili, tomato, followed by fish sauce & tamarind

Wok got put aside and I started working onthe patty, first on a grid, later on low in the fire, followed by heating up the cabbage

Made ribeye steaks with corn on the cob and potato stacks. I had made stacks the other day and wasn’t happy with them. Made some changes and they turned out much better.
I had to look that up as well ... MMM!
