I planned to make soup tonight - chuck stew cubes, barley, several legumes, veggie, and pasta soup in my Instant Pot. Have to see if that happens. Plans may change.

A bit of menu planning might helpI was planning to spend a relaxing day at home today, after the exertions of a food festival this week. However, wife has just had cataract surgery and had said : "don't worry, I'll drive down to the ophthalmologist tomorrow".
I didn't think that ws a good idea, to be honest, so I said I'd take her.
My idea was to grab something to eat while she was waiting, but that didn't happen. The food in the café was gross, so I waited, and waited, and waited..
We got home 3 hours later, so the option was a salad. Butter lettuce, tomatoes, cooked potato with butter, freshly cooked beetroot with horseradish vinaigrette and a slice of smoked cheese.
Filled the gap!

I don't make it often.Barley AND pasta?
And here I held off on adding mini cheese ravioli to mine in fear of the carb police![]()
I don't make it often.
I originally made it using Soup Starter, and it had barley and pasta. But Soup Starter was discontinued. So I started making my version with as many of the original ingredients..
Oh dear send her our good wishes, hope she feels better soon.MrsT isn’t feeling great, so she wanted something simple…spaghetti with olive oil & garlic.
Thanks for clearing that up. I had noticed a trend.
It's a shame there aren't more regular members here who like to start popular threads. Or in Australia/NZ anyway.
