I'm going to post an old recipe of mine shortly . I do have some Trader Joe's pre-made tapenade, but that won't count, as that is pre-made. Although I plan to get back to the grocery at least once before the challenge is over, i haven't a clue as to where the olives in jars live, since I've always gotten my selection from that salad bar.

Depends what you do with it! There are many recipes that use tapenade. Its great with white fish, for example and lamb. Poke it under the skin of a chicken, before roasting...

Here's a squid recipe featuring olives. I really liked this one, but even in the best of times it is hard to find squid in my new region of life.

Time to think again! Great in tagines, salads (Niçoise) and with chicken, white fish and so on.

Olive more versatile than some think only limit is imagination.

I discovered that the tapenade I have is an artichoke tapenade, no olives except for the oil.

I do plan to go into town later this week. I'll go to the Mom and Pop shop (not very trafficked) as since I'd found capers there back in January, I'm sure they have olives - there shouldn't be a run on those.

As I said elswhere this sounds great. Do you need dried or fresh figs?

I use dry fig, but imagine can use fresh.
