Did some more planting and a bit of weeding but it is so hot out there I have called it a day.

The gardener went off to visit his mum 2 months ago, and hasn't come back yet.
Meanwhile, it's been raining, so that means I can't get in the garden in the mornings.
I'm expecting to find giraffes, jaguars, anacondas and assorted mammals wandering by the kitchen in search of food fairly soon.![]()

That looks very similar to what I planted. I'm going to leave it until October and see what happens!this is a hardneck variety - makes for many new bulbs.
I planted mine on Nov. 2 last year and harvested May 17 this year so that's 6 1/2 months. I think when you plant in the fall I've read you get bigger bulbs. This is my first go around so not sure. I did get 20 bulbs to eat and I've saved enough to plant 120 cloves this fall.
