I can promise you that wouldn't stay put where I live. Somewhere between the fact i live next to a windfarm, have wild animals that just love to dig in it and chooks whose favourite pastime is spreading neat piles of anything as far and wide as possible... then the cockatoos will come and investigate the green shoots in spring and snap every single one off at the base. This may look like an old pile of leaves. Getting ready for fall planting! Got this area tilled and before it rains next week I'll get it mulched. First layer will be grass clippings I've been turning for 6 weeks. 2nd layer will be leaves.View attachment 135319
Bottom half for Purple Creole garlic, around 100 cloves, and the top half for Chinese Giant Mustard Greens.
About another week before planting the garlic. Fifty-five is the magic temperature.View attachment 135321
Never planted the greens before but every year I try to add a new cultivar. If these work out I'll have lots of kimchi!View attachment 135320
