Last night I soaked mixed fruit and muscovado sugar in black tea, today flour, mixed spice and and egg were added to make a barra brith.

Tried it for the first time when we were in Wales earlier in the year and fancied giving it a go. Did a lot of baking when younger but this is my 1st attempt at a fruit cake, really pleased with the result.

I have heard a lot about 7up cakes, will have to find a recipe and give it a go.

Peach cobbler (DD took a serving before I got to take a picture), and plum cobbler. They're dark because I added cinnamon to the batter, and cinnamon sugar on top. I used fresh peaches and fresh plums. Note: I won't toss with sugar and allow to sit next time. Too much syrup/liquid accumulated. Next time, I'll toss with sugar just before adding to batter.
