This evening I made a prawn cocktail (with homemade Rose Marie Seafood Sauce) followed by air fried chicken porting and crinkle cut chips (oh and just for a change, some asparagus)!

I love the light fixtures here:

Bread was a nice presentation of a sliced baguette with herbed butter, roasted garlic, fresh grated Parmesan, and little pools of balsamic vinegar and olive oil, one after the other.

I had a mystery shop meal out at a new-to-me pizza place. It's kind of an assembly line thing where you pick your toppings as you go down the line. It was really good!

Ok, rest of meal, MrsT had eggplant Parmesan on a bed of pasta in a tomato-vodka sauce, along with a dollop of spinach-herb cheese, which sort of melted into it a bit.

I had bacon-wrapped meatloaf with brown-sugar tomato jam, garlic-pepper onion crisps, chive mashed potatoes, and seasonal vegetables.

Dessert was a hot (as in spicy) honey peach cheesecake - NY-style cheesecake with a layer of hot honey peach compote in it, graham cracker crust, sugar cookie crumble, flame-roasted fresh local peaches, hot honey drizzle, local blueberries, and fresh whipped cream. It was phenomenal.

I’ve mentioned that MrsT’s ancestors settled here when they first arrived, and she’s distantly related to the family the restaurant and hotel are named for…no family discount, though.
