My teenage daughter made this spicy fried chicken for me. She told me she didn’t need any help, but she did accept my advice to not dip it in hot sauce and then start frying it, for safety reasons. Instead, she used Aji Amarillo powder that I had ground previously. And, I’m happy to say, it’s really good! I expected her to overcook it, and she didn’t. It’s very spicy, but not so much that you can’t taste it. I’m so proud of her.

And she made it heart-shaped for her dad! Such a lovely girl

Lunch today. I had some Ditalini rigati, a small pasta that we usually use for the broth to make 'pastina in brodo'.
I added a teaspoon of turmeric and two little piece of Parmigiano's crust.

Then boiled eggs with a mackerel cream. I wanted to make tuna cream, but I no longer had tuna, just a can of mackerel, thus I used that.
Not bad indeed...I'd say maybe even better than tuna.
